At Bayou Books & Beans, each order is carefully curated and packed with books, coffee, New Orleans-inspired treats, and unique gifts. Because many of our products are custom-curated and mystery-based, please review our return policy before making a purchase.

Mystery Boxes

All Mystery Box sales are final.

Due to the surprise nature of our curated boxes, we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or refunds based on:

Book selection
Coffee selection
Snack or gift preferences
Duplicate items
Personal taste or preference

Product photos are examples only and do not guarantee specific contents.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Order number
Description of the issue
Clear photos of the damaged item(s)
Photos of the shipping box and packaging if applicable

Upon review, we may offer:

Replacement item(s)
Store credit
Refund for the affected item(s)

The resolution will be determined at our discretion.

Incorrect Orders

If you receive an item that does not match your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

We will work with you to correct the issue as quickly as possible.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

Mystery boxes
Opened books
Opened coffee products
Opened food items or snacks
Digital products
Gift cards
Sale or clearance items
Seasonal or limited-edition products
Handmade Products

Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages

Once an order has been accepted by USPS, Bayou Books & Beans is not responsible for:

Shipping delays
Lost packages
Stolen packages
Packages marked as delivered by USPS

Customers should contact USPS directly regarding delivery issues. We will gladly provide tracking information and shipping documentation when needed.

Return Authorization

Returns will not be accepted without prior approval.

Unauthorized returns may be refused or returned to the sender at the sender's expense.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Please allow:

5–10 business days for processing, after product arrives to us.
Additional time depending on your financial institution

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is the result of our error.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled only if they have not entered processing or shipping.

Once a mystery box has been curated, packed, or shipped, the order cannot be canceled.
